Migrating WordPress using the All-In-One WP Migration plugin

When migrating your WordPress website from one hosting account to another (or from your own computer to your new hosting account), we suggest using the All-In-One WP Migration plugin. First, log in to the website you wish to migrate and go to Plugins > Add new Plugin. From here, search for All-In-One WP Migration, install the plugin and then click Activate. Next, click on the tab for All-In-One WP Migration on the left-hand side and select Export. Click on 'Export To' and choose 'File', save the file in a location you can easily access.

To import the WordPress install, you will first need to ensure you have WordPress installed on your hosting account. To do this please follow the instructions given here.

Once installed, add the plugin All-In-One WP Migration again and this time go to the import tab. Click on 'Import From' and again select 'File'. Select the file that was exported previously. The import process will now begin and depending on the website size this may take some time. Once completed you will be given an option to overwrite the current WordPress website, click 'Proceed' on this.

Your WordPress website will now be transferred to your new hosting account. It is advised to test the website to ensure everything was imported correctly but in the majority of cases, the plugin will copy everything over and ensure everything is compatible.
